DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS
Music and Performing Arts Department includes art major of music and performing. Art major of music took its first students to 25 normal education and 25 secondary education programs in 2013-2014 academic year.
Traditional Music and Western Music education is given during 4 year-undergraduate education in art major of music. Basic piano for each student for the first 2 years and also individual instrument lessons are given for 4 years.
The Department of Music and Performing Arts collaborates with the Music Departments of other Fine Arts faculties at national and international levels to carry out the preparation of projects within the framework of Erasmus, Grudwig and Farabi programs and the integration of these programs and the exchange of students and teaching staff.
The Music and Performing Arts Department exhibits academical music group and student choir and music ensembles with lecturers. Our communities give concerts in many domestic and international events, especially in the university and Nevşehir province.
The Department of Music and Performing Arts has a modern architecture with a 5-class, choral and music ensemble study rooms, a 180-seat concert hall, individually insulated individual study and teaching rooms.
The Department of Music and Performing Arts aims to continue its arts as a teaching staff in educational institutions that provide graduate students with the ability to work as artists, researchers, critics, art consultants and music directors, as well as performers or musicians in orchestras and choirs.
